RESPONSE TO: ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE PETITION FOR MODIFICATIONS
If you have been served with an Order to Appear in an Order to Show Cause action, you will usually see that it is set for a very short 15 minute "Return Hearing." It is very important that the Judge hears your side of the issues. Prior to the hearing, you will need to file a Response so that the Judge will be is familiar with both sides of the issues prior to the hearing. The 15-minute return hearing is all the time usually allowed for both sides to testify and for the judge to ask questions and issue (initial) Temporary Orders.
